Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
In a bowl, mash the bananas, then whisk in melted butter, brown sugar, and eggs until smooth.
In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until combined. Stir in chocolate chips if using.
Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Allow brownies to cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For extra fudgy brownies, slightly underbake them and let them set as they cool.
